Elizabeth Maciel is a 2025-2026 Teach Plus California Emergent Bilingual Change Agent, and teacher and English Language Development (ELD) Department Chair at Corona High School in Corona, California. She is advisor of the Multicultural Club. Elizabeth received the California Association for Bilingual Education’s (CABE) Teachership Award (2021), was named Bilingual Educators Succeeding Together’s Support Personnel for Riverside County (2018), and was recognized as Corona High’s Panther of the Year (2016). She is a founding member of the American Association of Interpreters and Translators in Education and is a Riverside CABE board member. Elizabeth earned a BA in liberal studies with a concentration in English from California Baptist University and MA in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from the University of Southern California.
