Madison Stockton is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus Colorado Policy Fellow. Madison is a 3rd grade teacher at Southmoor Elementary in Denver, Colorado. She focuses on developing a compassionate, safe, and engaging classroom culture where all students are celebrated and held to high expectations. Additionally, she is the team specialist of equity-centered school culture and has collaborated closely with district equity leaders and community members to create a schoolwide plan focused on family engagement and culturally-sustainable practices. Previously, she also taught fourth grade literacy for three years at Southmoor. Madison earned her MA in educational leadership and policy studies and principal license from the University of Colorado-Denver. Before that, she graduated with honors from the University of Northern Colorado with a BA in elementary education and a minor in writing.
