Madison Stockton is a 2021-2022 Teach Plus Colorado Policy Fellow. She currently teaches 3rd grade literacy at Southmoor Elementary School in Denver, Colorado. She is a member of the internal leadership team as the team specialist of equity-centered school culture. Madison has collaborated closely with district equity leaders to create a strategic community plan focused on family engagement and culturally responsive teaching. Additionally, she has designed and implemented professional development units for teachers centered around cultural awareness and fostering learning partnerships. Previously, she also taught fourth grade literacy for three years at Southmoor. Madison earned her MA in educational leadership and policy studies and principal license from the University of Colorado-Denver. Before that, she graduated with honors from the University of Northern Colorado with a BA in elementary education and a minor in writing.
