Tania Madrigal is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Illinois Early Childhood Educator Policy Fellow and Spanish Dual Language Early Childhood Special Education Teacher at Champaign Early Childhood Center in Champaign, Illinois. She focuses on dual-language Spanish instruction for bilingual students who have special education services, working with families and outside agencies to support child and family development. Tania has been Equity Chair, was a member of her school’s School Improvement Leadership Team, and has mentored new teachers. She won the Champaign Unit 4 District Accelerationist Award (2017) and is a member of the Illinois Association of Multilingual Multicultural Education (IAMME). She earned her BA in music from Carleton College in Minnesota and an MEd in early childhood special education. She holds early childhood, special education, and bilingual teaching credentials from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
