Maggie Bodanyi is building a mentoring system for new teachers. Maggie teaches 7th and 8th grade language arts at Alexander Graham Elementary School where she also coaches girls basketball, cross country, and track and field. Maggie sponsors the mural club in the after-school all-stars program and serves on the instructional leadership team. Maggie received the Symetra Heroes in the Classroom Award in 2016. She graduated from Illinois State University with a BA in Elementary Education.
