Maggie Grasty

Dr. Miguelina “Maggie” Grasty is a 2021-2022 Teach Plus Pennsylvania Policy Fellow and an elementary school teacher in the Chester Upland School District. Maggie serves on the Long-Range Planning Committee, which analyzes data to adequately address learning loss due to the COVID-19 Pandemic with school wide intervention scheduling, progress monitoring, and other remediation tools and the Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) team, which uses research-based, scientifically validated interventions towards positive student behavior outcomes. Maggie was awarded the You are the Light Award for 2020-2021 in the Chester Upland School District. In her community, Maggie serves as president of the Chester Upland Education Association, and executive director of The Connection, a nonprofit organization committed to inspire, empower, and advance the knowledge of the residents of Chester and the surrounding communities. Maggie received her BS in Criminal Justice from Widener University, her MEd from Cheyney University, and her EdD in Educational Leadership from Wilmington University.
