Christina Maguire is a 2025-2026 Teach Plus Michigan Policy Fellow and Spanish teacher for grades 9-12 at Ionia High School in Ionia, Michigan. She is a Staff Leadership Team member and the Multi-Tiered System of Supports Leader, incorporating Response to Intervention, classroom management techniques, and technology into her school. Previously, Christina was an Iona High art teacher, adjunct Spanish teacher at Grand Valley State University, K-2 immersion teacher at Academia de Español, and migrant teacher at Kenowa Hills High School. She was nominated for the Ionia High School GRIT Teacher Award (2025). Christina has been a Michigan World Language Association member since 2000, a union leader since 2013, and is now a National Honor Society advisor. Christina earned her BA in Spanish and art education from Calvin College and MEd in bilingual education from Aquinas College. She holds an Administrative Leadership certificate from Michigan Virtual.
