Vickie Malone is a 2022-2023 Teach Plus Mississippi Policy Fellow and is a high school social studies instructor at the Mississippi School of the Arts in Brookhaven. Vickie teaches U.S. history, U.S. government, Economics, and Dual Enrollment College Psychology and serves as the Diversity Club Faculty Advisor and the Student Government Faculty Advisor. She also served as the History department chair at McComb High School and was a member of the district Civil Rights Curriculum development leadership team, where she developed an oral history class for seniors. Vickie has been named the Mississippi School of the Arts Teacher of the Year (2021-22), Teacher of the Year for McComb High School (2015-16), and Star Teacher at Cathedral High School (2002-2003). She earned her BA in Theology from Spring Hill College and her MEd in Psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi.
