Marier Edwina Cox is a 2018-19 Teach Plus Indiana Teaching Policy Fellow. Marier is a reading interventionist at Greenbriar Elementary School in Indianapolis, where she sponsors arts & craft classes for the GROW Program and tutors students before and after school. During Marier’s 23 years as a certified teacher in the Indianapolis Public Schools, she has been a supervising teacher for student teachers and organized a Black History Program. Marier received the IPS Above and Beyond the Call of Duty Award and You Dare To Make A Difference in Education Award by Light of the World Christian Church. Marier received her BA from Purdue University and her MS from Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis. She received her Administrator Licensing from Butler University.
