Antoinette Martinez is a 2026-2027 Teach Plus Illinois Senior Policy Fellow and K-2 special education teacher at Belle Valley Elementary School in Belleville, Illinois. She develops autonomy, resiliency, and agency in her students, focused on individualized support. Previously, Antoinette taught early childhood education in the private school sector. She was inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society (2019) and serves as a teacher advisor for Scholastic’s My Big World With Clifford publication. She earned a BA in early childhood education from National Louis University and is pursuing a master’s degree in early childhood special education at Illinois State University.
