Eric Marty is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus Indiana Policy Fellow and an English, journalism, yearbook, and broadcast teacher at Lawrence Central High School in Indianapolis, Indiana. He teaches and implements engagement and collaboration strategies while using rigorous standards as a member of his school’s FTEM Guidance Team. As union building representative, he focuses on addressing school-wide systems to promote equity and learning. Eric previously taught Journalism and Student Media at Fall Creek Valley Middle School in Indianapolis. Eric was chosen as an Honored Educator at Lawrence Central and was a PFO Grant Recipient. Eric is also the Vice President for Association Relations and a Red4Ed Coordinator for the Lawrence Education Association. He earned his BA in journalism with focus on secondary education from Ball State University.
