Eric Marty is a 2026-2027 Teach Plus Indiana Advocacy Policy Fellow and English, journalism, yearbook, and broadcast teacher at Lawrence Central High School in Indianapolis. He teaches engagement and collaboration strategies as a member of his school’s Focused Teacher Evaluation Model Guidance Team and is a union building representative. Eric previously taught journalism and student media at Fall Creek Valley Middle School. He was chosen as an Honored Educator at Lawrence Central (2023), received a Parent Faculty Organization grant, and serves as Vice President for Association Relations and a Red4Ed Coordinator for the Lawrence Education Association. Eric earned a BA in journalism with a focus on secondary education from Ball State University.
