Mary Rose Donahue is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus Colorado Senior Policy Fellow. Mary Rose is a 10th and 11th grade language arts teacher at Boulder High School in Boulder, Colorado. Mary Rose serves as the faculty sponsor of Women’s Empowerment Club as well as a co-sponsor of the Boulder High Theater Program. Mary Rose began her teaching career at Shadow Ridge Middle School in Thornton, Colorado. She has received the following awards: Lori Anne Lowe Endowed Teaching Award, Pikes Peak Education Advocate of the Year, and 4A Diving Coach of the Year. Prior to teaching, Mary Rose has served as an educational advocate with The Arc Pikes Peak Region. Mary Rose earned her BA in English literature with minors in film studies and education as well as a MA in Teaching, both from Colorado College.
