Kurt Mastrantonio is a 2025-2026 Teach Plus Michigan Senior Policy Fellow and family and consumer sciences teacher at Brighton High School in Brighton, Michigan. He has served on his school’s leadership team and piloted a fashion design and merchandising course. Previously, Kurt served on his region’s Health Educator Learning Network Steering Committee, identifying youth community health needs and determining education-based solutions. He is the secretary and membership chair of the Michigan Association of Family and Consumer Sciences. Kurt earned his AA in liberal arts and general studies from Oakland Community College and his BS in family and consumer sciences education with a minor in political science education from Western Michigan University. He is pursuing an MS in health promotion from The University of the Cumberlands.
