Matthew Perkins is a Teach Plus Indianapolis Change Agent and a Teach Plus Indianapolis Teaching Policy Fellowship alum. Matthew teaches 8th grade science and advanced biology at H.L. Harshman magnet middle school, where he also coaches boys’ and girls’ tennis, and girls’ soccer. Matthew is a current member of the multi-tiered systems of success (MTSS) committee and is also a member of his school’s norms and procedures committee. At the district level, Mathew has served on the pacing guides committee to enhance the district pacing and resource guides for 8th grade science and 9th grade biology. He has served as his school’s Change Agent where he worked with his team to better understand differentiated instruction and create an environment of collaborative learning for this students. He was a member of the Urban Leaders Fellowship working on educational policy for district and charter collaboration. Matthew graduated from Hanover College with a BA in Biology and earned a MA in Arts of Teaching from Marian University.
