Beatriz McGuire is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Illinois Affinity Group Facilitator and occupational therapist at Pleasant Hill Elementary in Winfield, Illinois. Her career focus has been pediatrics. Bea has enjoyed working with children in early intervention, clinic-based settings and several levels of school-based therapy including early childhood, elementary, middle school, and high school. She is Vice-President of Early Childhood/Special Education for the Wheaton Warrenville Education Association and also is a member of the District Leadership Team at Community Unit School District 200. Bea has a BS in occupational therapy from the University of Illinois at Chicago, an MA in spiritual formation and evangelism from Garrett-Evangelical Seminary, Chicago, and a doctorate in occupational therapy from Boston University.
