Laura McManus is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Pennsylvania Independence Mission Schools Teacher Leadership Project member and a 5th-grade English language arts and social studies teacher at St. Martin of Tours School. Through her role at a Cadre Leader, she works to foster collaboration amongst teachers, so that together they can hone their practices and become the most effective educators for their students. Prior to her role at St. Martin of Tours, Laura worked as a Catapult Learning reading specialist and supervisor, piloting programs and overseeing operations to ensure students of non-public schools were given equal opportunity to bridge learning gaps and achieve grade level success. Today, she continues to partner with Catapult Learning in the Summer Journey Program as a teacher and site coordinator. Laura earned her BA in English from Temple University and her MEd and certification in elementary education from Gwynedd Mercy University.
