Sean Means is a 2022-2023 Teach Plus Pennsylvania Equity Leadership Institute member and is an 11th grade U.S. history and social justice teacher. Sean began his teaching career as a Heinz Fellow and was awarded with the A+ Schools Educational Leadership award (2016) and the Racial Justice award (2016). He is the City Rep for Yale National Initiative and serves as chair of his school’s history department. Sean earned a BA from Morehouse College, an MA from Duquesne University, and he has also completed his Educational Leadership coursework at Robert Morris University.
