Megan James is a 2021 Teach Plus California Emergent Bilingual Change Agent and an ELD Teacher on Special Assignment in San Juan Unified School District, in Sacramento. She provides professional development, curriculum support, and coaching to classroom and ELD teachers across the district to help them support their emergent bilingual students in grades K-12. She has held multiple leadership roles such as a Curriculum Coach, Response to Intervention Specialist, and ELD Coordinator in previous districts. Megan James received her BA in Liberal Studies and Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Sonoma State University, a preliminary administrative services credential from Sacramento County Office of Education, and an MS in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governors University.
