Megan Maples teaches 8th grade English Language Arts at E.L. Haynes Public Charter School, where she is also the signature learning projects coordinator. Megan has been a Teacher Leader for Teach Plus’ C2 Initiative, teaching courses on applying the Common Core-aligned instruction in classrooms with diverse learners, and has written middle level reading and writing resources for LearnZillion, creating Common Core-aligned lesson plans, videos, and materials for teachers to access nationwide. Megan graduated summa cum laude from the University of California, San Diego with a BA in International Studies, and will earn her ME in Middle Level Teaching and Learning from Chestnut Hill College in Spring 2016.
