Rebecca Meissner is a 2022-2023 Teach Plus Illinois Policy Fellow who teaches German and dual-credit English at Olympia High School in Stanford. Rebecca focuses on language learning as a lived experience as well as preparing students to read and write at the college level. Rebecca is the English Language Arts department chair and has been an officer of her local association for 18 years, including the offices of secretary, vice-president, and co-president. Rebecca earned a BA in elementary education from the University of Iowa. She also has an MA in German and an MA in English Studies from Illinois State University.
