Melissa Davis teaches world history & geography to linguistically and culturally diverse 9th-12th grade students at J.E.B. Stuart High School in Falls Church, Virginia. She previously taught high school social studies at a blended learning charter school in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Melissa is passionate about equitable educational access for English language learners, the preparation and development of pre-service and novice teachers, and the use of technology in the classroom. She discovered this passion during her sophomore year of college when she led her first lessons in a middle school classroom as an AVID tutor. She received her BA in sociology and Master of Public Administration from Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts. She earned her Masters of Education in secondary education from George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
