Meredith Pica is a Teach Plus Maryland Teaching Policy Fellow who is a 5th grade teacher at Hampden Elementary Middle School. A Baltimore City Public Schools teacher since 2006, Meredith previously taught 3rd and 4th grade at Mary E. Rodman Elementary School. At Hampden, she serves as the chairperson of the instructional leadership team and and is grade level chair. A member of the school family council, Meredith helped to pilot the gifted advanced learner (GAL) program at Hampden and coordinates its GAL reading and math programs. In addition to working as a classroom teacher, Meredith writes curriculum and facilitates professional development for early career teachers. She holds a BS and an MEd in Elementary Education from Towson University.
