Sonya Meyers is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Colorado Charter Teacher Policy Fellow and is a 2nd grade teacher leader at Rocky Mountain Prep-Southwest in Denver. She supports her team as a grade level chair and Instructional Services Advisory coordinator. She was the multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) coordinator at her school for three years and helped to create an equitable MTSS system for her school. Sonya began her career in education in Chicago as a City Year Americorps member. She has since taught various grades between K-5. She earned her BA in social welfare and environmental studies from University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MAT from Relay Graduate School of Education.
