Michael Macchi is a Teach Plus Greater Boston Teaching Policy Fellow. He is a 3rd grade teacher in a general education classroom at the Phineas Bates Elementary School in Roslindale, MA, where he is a member of the instructional leadership team and the school site council. Michael serves as a Boston Teacher Leadership Program Fellow, exploring the re-allocation of funding of privatized assessments used in the district. Michael is certified in Elementary Education, Moderate Disabilities K-8, and English as a Second Language PreK-6 with a Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) endorsement. He earned a BA from Boston University and an MEd through the Teach Next Year program at the University of Massachusetts, Boston.
