Michael Rodriguez is a 2020-2021 Teach Plus Illinois Policy Fellow. Michael teaches drama at Oakton Elementary and Rice Education Center in Evanston, Illinois. Over the last five years, he has assisted with the implementation of new strategies for improving school climate with a trauma-informed lens and restorative practices, become a union representative on a local and state level and has co-coached the 4th/5th grade flag football teams each fall. He also previously taught drama in Massachusetts. Michael graduated from Emerson College with a BA in Theatre Education.
