Michelle Pinedo is a Teach Plus California and a Teach Plus Los Angeles Teaching Policy Fellow. Michelle teaches 2nd grade in a self-contained classroom at KIPP Raices Academy in East Los Angeles. She is on the math committee, and also leads the environmental club. Prior to becoming a teacher, Michelle worked for Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School District as a 5th grade tutor and site director for the After-School Safety and Awareness Program. A Teach For America corps member, Michelle received the Houston L.E.A.D.S award for her leadership and support towards her colleagues in the corp. She graduated from the 2009 Teacher TRAC program at Cerritos College and earned a BA in Liberal Studies, along with a multiple subject teaching credential, from California State University, Long Beach.
