Rhoshawda Miller is a 2022-2023 Michigan Collaborative Teacher Leader and a K-5 English Learner teacher at Perry Early Learning Center and Erickson Elementary in Ypsilanti, Michigan. She serves as a robotics coach, and mentor and facilitator for the teacher mentorship program representing Ypsilanti Community school district’s early learning centers. Rhoshawda began her Ypsilanti School District teaching career in 1998 as Site Director for Champions Before & After school program and has taught various grades between Pre-K and fifth grade. Rhoshawda was a Ypsilanti Community School District Teacher of the Year nominee (2019) and has presented at the Michigan Reading Association annual conference. Rhoshawda serves as her Michigan Education Association region secretary, and RA-At Large Delegate-Representative of Minority 3-1G at the state and national level. She earned her BA in Elementary Education, MA in Early Childhood Curriculum & Instruction, and MA in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from Eastern Michigan University.
