Curt Minton is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Mississippi Policy Fellow and an 8th-grade Mississippi studies teacher at Oxford Middle School in Oxford. Curt also serves as a PLC leader, mentor teacher to new hires, and student council sponsor. He focuses on building the next generation of active and responsible citizens in Mississippi and the United States by focusing on the state’s history, mistakes, growth, and place in the world. Curt has served as a building-level curriculum coach and a clinical instructor to senior practicum students at the University of Mississippi. Curt was named the Oxford Middle School Teacher of the Year (2016 and 2020) and Oxford School District Teacher of the Year (2020). He earned his BA in political science and an MEd in curriculum and instruction in social studies education from the University of Mississippi.
