Samantha Mitchell is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus Arkansas Policy Fellow. Samantha is a high school teacher at Mayflower High School in Mayflower, Arkansas. She teaches a survey of business, marketing, small business operations, English as a second language (ESL), programming I, and mobile apps I & II. She is also the Future Business Leaders of America and Heritage Club advisor and Quiz Bowl coach. She focuses on teaching students in language acquisition, business, and computer science to assist students in identifying potential career paths after graduation. Samantha achieved Arkansas Bilingual Interpreter Credential in Education certification in Spanish and is now a certified Spanish interpreter for Arkansas Public Schools and the Department of Human Services. Samantha is a current National Board candidate. Samantha earned her BS in business management and her MBA from the University of Phoenix. She also obtained an MAT from Arkansas Tech University. She is currently seeking an MS in information systems as well as participating in the Online Teacher Academy at Arkansas Tech University.
