Nicole Moody is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus Illinois Affinity Group Facilitator and the Assistant Superintendent of Teaching, Learning, and School Culture in Springfield, Illinois. Nicole facilitates professional development for principals, coordinates district-wide professional development for instructional staff, and leads the District Teaching and Learning Department. Nicole has served as an adjunct professor for University of Illinois at Springfield and Illinois State Universities in their Educational Leadership departments. Nicole was named one of the “Illinois Times” 40 Under 40 for her community and school leadership accomplishments. Nicole began her teaching career as a first-grade teacher in Springfield, Illinois, and then went on to serve as the Assistant to the Illinois State Superintendent before becoming a school administrator. Nicole earned her BS in elementary education from Illinois State University, MA in educational leadership from the University of Illinois at Springfield, and her PhD in education administration and foundations from Illinois State University.
