Charles Moore is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus Arkansas Policy Fellow. Charles is an 8th-grade algebra 1 and pre-algebra teacher at Horace Mann Middle School in Little Rock, Arkansas. He focuses on teaching middle school students the math skills needed to be successful in high school and post-high school mathematics. He was the past math department chairman at his campus and taught math at UA Pulaski Tech and Philander Smith College prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. Charles also served as classroom rep for his school as a member of the Classroom Teacher’s Union. Charles was named Teacher of the Year and was recognized as a distinguished honor graduate from Harding University. He earned his BA in mathematics from Philander Smith College and his MA in Teaching and MEd in educational leadership from Harding University.
