Tanya Moorer is a 2022-2023 Teach Plus Massachusetts Policy Fellow who is an instructional transformation coach at the Joseph Lee K-8 School in Boston. Tanya is licensed in Elementary Education and English as a Second Language (ESL) by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Tanya has been working in education for over 20 years in a variety of roles such as classroom teacher, instructional coach, and school administrator. She has previously been awarded the Gender Equity in Education Award from The Marymount Institute for the Education of Women and Girls for her work with teen girls on community poverty, community violence, and student achievement. Tanya earned a BA in Human Development and Family Studies from Cornell University and an MEd in Foundations of Education from Hofstra University. She is currently pursuing an EdD in Organizational Leadership K-12 at Grand Canyon University.
