Zahria Morgan is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus Mississippi Policy Fellow. She is a 3rd grade lead literacy teacher, after-school tutor, and mentor at Ambition Preparatory Charter School in Jackson, Mississippi. She focuses on teaching scholars in the area of literacy in order to foster their unlimited reading abilities. She previously taught both math and science. Zahria was named Ambition Preparatory Charter School’s January Teacher of the Month for her urgency and implementation of new strategies to push scholars to their full potential. She earned her AA in accounting from Holmes Community College and a BA in elementary education from Mississippi College.
