Raven Morris is a 2023-24 Teach Plus Texas Senior Policy Fellow. Raven is a 6th grade reading language arts teacher at Southard Middle School in Princeton, Texas. She focuses on teaching learners in the areas of literary comprehension and composition in a manner that is responsive and culturally conscious. Raven earned the distinction of Statewide Semifinalist in HEB’s 2022 Excellence in Education program. Raven began her career as a secondary band director and transitioned to middle school RLA after discovering her passion for the age group. She earned her BM in Instrumental Education from Henderson State University.
