Melissa Moxley is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Pennsylvania Policy Fellow. She is a social studies teacher and department chair at Emmaus High School in Emmaus, Pennsylvania, focusing on professional learning centered around diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging to foster culturally sustaining practices. Melissa began her teaching career in Allentown in 2007 and has since taught various grades at the high school level. She became the department chair in 2017 where she began equity work with her department. She earned a BA in American studies from Pennsylvania State University, an MEd in teaching and learning from Cedar Crest College, and an EdD in transformational teaching and learning from Kutztown University.
