Aubrey Mueller is a 2025-2026 Houston Policy Fellow and 10th English teacher leader at Chavez High School in Houston. She serves as the English II Lead and English for Speakers of Other Languages/English Language Development and Acquisition teacher, supporting instructional alignment, mentorship, and data-driven planning. Previously, Aubrey served as an English II/English as a Second Language teacher, leading the editing and adaptation of district lessons and development of streamlined teacher guides; she also was a mentor teacher. She completed the Latinos for Education Teacher Fellowship (2025). Aubrey began her education career in Brownsville Independent School District and Jubilee Academies, later supporting emergent bilinguals through the nonprofit A Yancy Life. She joined Teach For America in 2023. Aubrey earned a BA in British literature with a minor in philosophy from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and is applying to pursue a master’s in educational leadership and policy from the University of Texas at Arlington.
