Tamia Murphy is a 2025-2026 Philadelphia Affinity Group Network Facilitator. She is a 7th and 8th grade science teacher, Science Department Lead, teacher coach, and Campus Talent Ambassador at Molina Elementary School in Camden, New Jersey. Tamia is also the Yearbook Advisor, Head Girls’ Basketball Coach, and Assistant Flag Football and Softball Coach. Tamia began her teaching career in 2003 at Pleasant Tech Academy Charter School and has taught in Atlantic City Public Schools. She is on the National Middle Level Science Teachers Association’s board of directors. Tamia is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, where she serves as the Graduate Member at Large, and the National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Incorporated, where she is the Third Vice President. She earned an associate’s in education from Atlantic Cape Community College, bachelor’s in psychology from Stockton University, master’s in education from the University of Phoenix, and second master’s in educational leadership from Rowan University.
