Nathan Evans is a Teach Plus Indianapolis Teaching Policy Fellow. Nathan is a 2nd-year Kindergarten teacher at Avondale Meadows Academy, where he is the grade level mentor teacher and 4th/5th grade basketball coach. Previously, Nathan taught English immersion to kindergarteners in China, and was a lead pre-school teacher and kindergarten paraprofessional. He was named Teacher of the Semester at Phoenix City International Kindergarten and earned 3rd place in the annual teaching competition. Nathan graduated from DePauw University with a BA in Communications and is currently completing his MA in Teaching at Marian University. He completed a Transition to Teaching program with the Indianapolis Teaching Fellows through The New Teacher Project (TNTP).
