Nicole Simpson is a 2018-19 Teach Plus Rhode Island Teaching Policy Fellow. Nicole is the founding art educator at Blackstone Valley Prep High School (BVP). She adopted a choice-based art education model for her studio classes and continues to research and grow the visual art program at BVP. She has coached new staff members and has presented her choice-based model at local conferences. Nicole received a BS in Art Education from Rhode Island College, and a Masters in Art Education from Boston University.
