Nicole Szoko is a Teach Plus Indianapolis Teaching Policy Fellow. Nicole teaches 7th grade English Language Arts at Harshman Magnet Middle School, where she participates in the leadership learning community, started a student government program, and coaches volleyball. A Teach for America corps member, Nicole has served on the Corps Member Advisory Committee and participated in the Culturally Responsive Teaching Cohort. Nicole was an Urban Leaders Fellow in Indianapolis where she worked on policy recommendations regarding school closure and reconfiguration in Indianapolis Public Schools. She graduated as a Medallion and Presidential Scholar from Ball State University with BS in Global Humanitarianism and Social Justice and earned an MAT in English from Marian University.
