Jessica Olson is a 2022-2023 Teach Plus Illinois Early Childhood Educator Policy Fellow and a preschool teacher at Dr. James Mitchem Early Childhood Center in Romeoville. She has been teaching preschool since 2016, teaching half-day preschool, full-day preschool, self-contained programs, and blended programs. She serves on her school’s Building Improvement Team to monitor progress toward building-wide goals, currently with a focus on inclusion, equity, and diversity. She earned her BA in Early Childhood Education with both English as a Second Language and Early Childhood Special Education endorsements from Elmhurst College, and her MS in Early Childhood Education with a concentration in Leadership and Advocacy from Erikson Institute.
