Christina Ordonez is a 2025-2026 Teach Plus Illinois Affinity Group Facilitator, She is the Technology and Media Department Chair, New Educator Coordinator, and theatre director at Hoffman Estates High School in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. Christina is a former high school English and reading teacher. She received the Those Who Excel Award of Excellence (2012 and 2025), and has been published in Learning Professional’s journal (2025) and Illinois Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development’s journal (2021, 2022, and 2025). She also produced the Illinois High School Theatre Festival All-State Production (2026). Christina is Executive Secretary of the Illinois Theatre Association. She earned her BA in English education from Illinois State University, MA in curriculum and instruction from Olivet Nazarene University, MA in education and reading specialist certification from Saint Xavier University, MA in educational leadership from Roosevelt University, and is pursuing an EdD in teaching and learning from Illinois State University.
