Shameika Osborne is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Texas Policy Fellow. Shameika teaches 8th grade ELAR/AVID and serves as the cheerleading team sponsor at Charlene McKinzey Middle School in Mansfield. With 10 years of experience as an educator, she is a dedicated and passionate individual committed to academic excellence and continuous learning. In addition to her work as an educator, Shameika is involved in various roles at her children’s schools. She serves as a site-based committee member, a football booster club member, and a PTA board member. She is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Shameika holds a BA in sociology from Adams State University, an MEd in urban education from Langston University, and an MEd in educational equity from the University of Arkansas.
