Erin Parker is a 2022-2023 Teach Plus Indiana Policy Fellow, and a high school English and Journalism educator at La Porte High School in La Porte, Indiana. She is co-sponsor of the Diversity Club to promote equity and connection, and helps oversee the district social media presence to ensure the public is getting accurate information from La Porte Community Schools. She is the 2022 Secondary Teacher of the Year for her district, an IDOE Teacher Leader and Mentor for the past four years, and the 2018 Young La Portean of the Year. She earned her BA in Secondary Education–English and Journalism from Indiana University in Bloomington.
