Rowan Parker is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus Massachusetts Policy Fellow. Rowan is a disability specialist providing classroom consultation and support across a large Head Start agency that includes locations in Franklin, Hampshire, and Hampden Counties, Massachusetts. He specializes in supporting teachers in creating inclusive environments to engage children who might otherwise have a difficult time participating in the curriculum. He has worked as a home visitor, early intervention developmental specialist, and infant/toddler lead teacher over his 12 years as an early childhood educator. As a certified PLAY Project consultant, Rowan supports teachers in meeting children where they are, using fun activities and strong relationships between children and adults, in order to help children meet their full potential. Rowan earned his BE in early childhood education and his MEd with a focus on parent education using instructional design and technology from Western Governors University.
