Dan Parsons is a 2023-2024 Michigan Teacher Leadership Collaborative Member and a 7th grade ELA teacher at Liberty Middle School in Canton, Michigan. Dan previously served as a Responsive to Intervention coordinator and Director of Baseball Operations during his time as a middle school educator for Metro-Nashville Public Schools. Dan is an active member of Liberty Middle School’s Building Equity Leadership Team and has taught ELA in four different states serving grades 6, 7, and 8. Dan was selected as a “Student Success Story” for Peabody College at Vanderbilt University (2017) and earned the highest teacher rating for student ELA growth on state assessments from (2018-2022). He earned his BS in middle childhood education with a science and ELA/reading certification from Bowling Green State University and an MEd in reading education with a reading specialist certification from Vanderbilt University.
