William D. Patterson is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus Pennsylvania Policy Fellow. William is a 3rd through 5th grade special education teacher with a focus on autistic support students at James Sullivan Elementary School in Philadelphia. William was an education coordinator for Y.W.E.L.C. and holds a trauma informed certification. William was awarded Teacher of the Year by First Up. William is a certified educator in Pennsylvania and is a member of Kappa Delta Pi. He earned his BA in early childhood education with a second concentration in special education at Eastern University and earned an MA from Lincoln University in the same field of study.
