Paula Barajas teaches literacy, mathematics, science, and social emotional skills to students with disabilities in kindergarten to 2nd grade at Rodolfo Lozano Bilingual & International Center. In addition to teaching, Paula is a member of her school’s Instructional Leadership Team, the K-2 tier II intervention lead for mCLASS, and coordinates the 21st Century after-school program. Paula became a teacher after working as the Associate Program Coordinator at UIC’s Urban Education Leadership Program. She graduated from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale with a BA in Rehabilitation Services, and earned both an MEd in Educational Measurement Statistics and Assessment and an MEd in Special Education from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
