Kristen Peeples is a 2025-2026 Teach Plus Pennsylvania Policy Fellow, and 10th grade English and 12th grade International Baccalaureate Literature teacher at Central High School in Philadelphia. She organizes and leads Feeding Philly, which helps combat food waste and insecurity. Kristen previously advised at-risk 9th graders through the Bridge Leadership program and was a member of her school’s Equity Team, working to analyze school data and policies that create a safe and inclusive environment. She was a recipient of the Lindback Award for Distinguished Teaching (2020), a Pennsylvania Teacher of the Year Semifinalist (2024), and helped students win a $20,000 Philly Service Award (2024). Kristen is a National Board Certified Teacher and leads teams in developing English language arts and world history curricular units for her school district. She earned a BA in psychology from Temple University and MS in secondary education and special education from Chestnut Hill College.
